James is a strategic and purpose-driven leader with experience in mental health, addiction services and youth development. Skilled at building high-trust relationships, driving continuous improvement, and aligning teams toward impactful outcomes, James is committed to advancing health equity and social justice while achieving organisational goals.
Before joining Workwise in 2026, James was with Pathways and Real where he set up and developed new services in the youth and adult space, and was part of embedding their te ao Māori framework into the organisation. James is a registered addictions clinician and a youth worker at heart.
As a manager who values collaboration, reflective practice and culturally-safe ways of working, James is passionate about creating systems and environments where both kaimahi and people we support can thrive.
