With a shared belief that work can bring wellbeing, an important feature of IPS employment support is how employment and clinical teams work together to hold hope for people.

In this short video, hear from Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau Mental Health and Addictions, Mahitahi Trust and Workwise about how working together on common goals to support a person’s employment journey helps us to find options and solutions.

We provide the momentum and reassurance for people to get into the labour market, when they most need support. Our services focus on employment as a way of bringing hope into people’s lives.

Since early 2022, Workwise and Mahitahi Trust have been providing employment support services for tāngata whai ora accessing community mental health services across Auckland and Counties Manukau. This sees employment consultants / kairapu tūranga mahi from both organisations integrated into 14 community mental health teams within Health New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau and Te Toka Tumai Auckland.

Workwise and Mahitahi Trust have brought together their expertise in employment support and cultural practice to support the health and wellbeing of people and their whānau.
